號外---冷得我騰騰震呀!
剛才吃過晚飯，正在清洗碗碟之際，洗着洗着…發覺水溫愈來愈低，由熱水變溫水，再由溫水變冷水。心知不妙，到爐房一看，果然見到熱水爐顯示燈熄了，意味發生故障，沒有熱水供應……，亦無暖氣！ 清楚情況後急忙立即打24小時緊急維修電話求救，最快要等到明天上午才有人來修理。無可避免今晚要度過一個寒冷的晚上！
今天日間氣溫徘徊0度至-4度左右，半夜會再低幾度。現在屋內最暖的地方只得18度左右，看來接近天亮時還會再低三幾度。目前坐在電腦之前睇機, 已加穿了一件外套, 還有些少寒意，不知是真的因為屋內溫度下降，還是股市又跌了逾千點；稍後上床尚不知能否如常入睡......

This house, located near the intersection of XXX Street and XXX Road is believed to be Toronto's smallest house. Occupying what used to be a driveway, it's a one bedroom, one bathroom home that sits on a parcel of land 7.25 feet (2.2 metres) wide and 113.67 feet (34.6 metres) long and has an interior area of just under 300 square feet (under 28 square metres).

Here's the kitchen. Note that despite the small space,they've managed to fit a washer and dryer into the place.

元旦自助餐
今年元旦和家人重臨DOWN TOWN一間酒店吃自助午餐。這間酒店每年只在元旦和母親節這兩個日子舉辦中午自助餐，兩者都大受華人歡迎，一早爆滿。開餐時間分兩輪，首輪11:30AM-1:30PM; 次輪1:30PM-3:30PM；我們今次吃的是1:30PM那一輪。至於價錢可不便宜，幾年前已經每位收C$68(連稅及小賬)；今年更漲價至C$80, 折算港幣逾$600大元一位！
酒店有中國人(不清楚是否來自香港)的資金參與，就算不是全資擁有，也應該是有控制權的大股東。中菜廳名麗華軒，由香港人主廚。酒店工作人員頗多能說粵語的華人，食物不差以外，對我還另外多一份親切感。當日放眼所見，座上大部份是中國人。
大除夕剛巧從美國有一股雪暴吹上多倫多，元旦天氣惡劣，在高速公路駕車落DOWN TOWN時不免有點麻煩，不過也難阻饕口饞舌之心情。
出發前大雪稍停，已有人出來預備清理積雪；汽車車身多已
被雪舖蓋。
高速公路沿途旁邊的樹木枝葉滿是雪花，山坡亦蓋了厚厚的雪。
漫天風雪之際，天慘慘而無色。

略帶海水鹹味的生蠔
饞人首碟
薄薄地一片都算係鮑魚
除鮑魚、龍蝦、生蠔外，即片新鮮出爐的片皮鴨, 嫰滑好味，
饞人欣賞。
場中尚有其他多款熱盤和精緻點心，未有盡試。
海皇碗仔翅的人龍最長; 不過要撞彩才吃到翅, 叫海皇羹就比較
名實相副。高級中菜的上湯理論上比較堅料，略少嗆喉妖邪味
道，翅唔翅反而無所謂，喝了兩碗。
甜點數式, 淺嘗即止，沒有清碟。
